Let’s count the ways…

1 Our new Broker Import feature connects your online broker to your Sharesight account, allowing you to import all of your historical trading data within just a few clicks. This is a one-time-only connection using bank-level security – we will not store your login credentials and will not connect to your broker going forward.

2 Alternatively, you can use your online broker’s export facility to create a spreadsheet of your holdings and upload it to your Sharesight portfolio. You may upload either opening balances or historical trades in this way.

3 Finally, you may manually record your holdings into your Sharesight portfolio. All you need to know is the purchase date and the number of shares that you bought. While very easy to do, because it’s a manual process, we recommend this method for users with fewer than 10 holdings.
